Somerset Academy is a public charter school, open to all eligible students who reside in Broward County, and subject to the preferences provided for in F.S. 1002.33(10)(d) and described therein. All student enrollments shall be subject to a random lottery and to the racial/ethnic balance provisions described in F.S. 1002.33(7)(a)(8) reflective of the community it serves or within the racial/ethnic range of the other public schools in the same school district. Submitting a Student Application Form is not a confirmation of registration in the school and does not guarantee enrollment for any grade level or school year.

The enrollment schedule for the 2023-2024 academic year is listed below
• Re-registration for Current Students: December 15 – 22, 2023
• Initial Enrollment Period: December 11, 2023 – January 31, 2024
• Lottery: February 5, 2024
• Notification of Lottery Results via Email: February 9, 2024
• Deadline for Receipt of Acceptance letter from Lottery: February 12, 2024
• Deadline for completing application packet: March 15, 2024
*The 2024-2025 Public Registration Application will be available on our website starting December 11, 2024. Please note: applications are submitted for a specific grade level/school year and do not roll over to the next school year. Should you wish to participate in the lottery for the 2024-2025 school year, a new application must be submitted by the posted deadline.*
